What is GREEN?  
 
Green, eco-friendly, earth friendly, and environmentally friendly are synonyms used to refer to goods and services considered to inflict minimal or no harm on the environment.  Green also refers to environmentally friendly practices - those everyday things we do to save energy and the planet.  The word green is closely related to the Old English verb growan, “to grow”. It is used to describe plants or the ocean. The most common associations are found in its ties to nature.  Green is also associated with regeneration, fertility and rebirth for its connections to nature.
 
Jabberblabber Magazine is an Earth Friendly publication.  It is printed on recycled paper with natural inks.  It's front page has a recycle symbol and "Please recycle. We do." printed below.  In addition, there are several monthly features that teach children and adults ways to conserve energy and be more GREEN:

Be Green Like Me! - features educational games/puzzles/information about the environment and how to save energy
 
Healthy Child, Healthy Planet - in our Parenting section, features tips for parents on how to save energy and money at home and at work
 
Edible Art - in the recipes, suggests healthy and organic foods as well as local foods
 
Green Advertisers/Sponsors - offer educational information about how to save energy as well as how they are doing their part to save the planet.   
 
Phases of the Moon - encourages families to choose outdoor activities instead of always sitting in front of the TV or computer
 
Activity of the Month - encourages reuse of items around the house instead of throwing them away
