Jabberblabber magazine is an arts and activity publication distributed monthly in the Memphis market. It is a 20 page newsprint comprised of 8 color pages and 12 black and white pages. The magazine is designed to foster creativity and promote imaginative play skills through a variety of art activities. We distribute 25,000 copies a month at over 300 locations in Memphis and the Mid-South area. Our primary readers include children K - 12; parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, and counselors use Jabberblabber as a necessary educational tool. Jabberblabber is also used by doctors, dentists, hospitals, and other waiting areas to entertain while calming the ill and restless child.
Jabberblabber the mascot is an 8 foot, adorably bug-eyed, furry creature that has a delightfully charming personality and brings an instant smile to the faces of everyone around him. He now has a 15 foot inflatable companion sure to get everyone's attention.
Memphis' own arts and education variety show, the Jabberblabber Show airs 4 times a week on WYPL, cable channel 18. It offers the same fun and creativity the magazine offers and much more. WYPL is the among the first library channels in the country. Because the showtimes vary, Jabberblabber reaches an unprecedented cross-section of pre-school and school-aged children. The showtimes are Tuesdays @ 3:30 pm, Wednesdays @ 4:30 pm, Thursdays @ 12 noon, and Saturday mornings @ 10 am. |
